In addition to access to 24 hour Registered Nurse services, where needed our high care residents are offered assistance with medication administration, feeding, toileting and continence management. All the while we place great emphasis on individual respect, the promotion of independence and the comfort and well being of our residents while providing these services.
We also offer an extensive range of mobility aids, such as wheelchairs, walkers and mechanical lifting devices, and access to Allied Health services including podiatry, physiotherapy, speech pathology, dental and ophthalmology as part of our extensive care program.
Every resident is provided with the opportunity to participate in a range of daily activities and programs within the House of St Hilarion and also out in the community. This can include winery tours, zoo visits and trips to local shopping centres.
All meals are prepared fresh each day and are a highlight of the St Hilarion experience, providing both flavour and an appropriate nutritional balance in line with each resident’s needs.
For those residents with dementia, we have two purpose built , secure dementia specific areas at The House of St Hilarion, Seaton.
Offering 35 places in total, these units has been very tastefully designed with an atrium effect and a secure outdoor area with beautiful gardens, grapevines and herb beds.
The lifestyle activities that take place in the dementia specific area have been specifically designed to reflect the situation of our residents, however it is important to note that when larger community wide activities, such as concerts and cultural celebrations are held in our Community Centre, our residents in dementia are encouraged to participate.
